yew trunk........any ideas?

We often sell stuff like that to a guy who resells to turners. I would suggest storring it out of the sun in your yard and saving other bits through the year. Flog it all for several 1oos when you got a full truck. What we get most for is all the 2/3 inch stuff you normally chip, turners love it. English Yew much better than Irish stuff as it has more colour. Robinia, Sophora, Laburnum, Plane, all that sort of stuff has more £ as timber if you know the right person to buy it.

 

You could try asking wood turners who the buy their stuff off and deal with the dealer.
