This looks great! Exactly what i'm looking for. How much do you think its worth? Going to ask a few local welders/engineers/'more talented than me people' to give me a price and didn't know if you could give me a rough estimate so I don't get ripped off?

Cheers

Materials come to a few hundred, I havnt got a spool valve yet but that will be over 150 for one with kick out, plus hoses. Ive used a second hand ram from a silage grab which I was given for free with a badly pitted piston rod so I had to get a piece of 50mm chromed rod which I machined in the lathe to take to end that holds the seals and I machined and welded a new end on the other side. If you make one with out a take it will save a bit of work and steel, I didn't want to make one with any bending. As for labour ive not added up the hours as I just do an hour now and again when I get a chance. Hopefully ill get some time to finish it in the next couple of weeks.

Beecham,

I really like your design and have just started making one along the same lines as yours. I have a fair bit of offcuts someone gave me and an currently looking for a ram.

Did you get it finished and if so what spool valve did you get at the end of the day?

John
