3/8 chain on a husky 346xp

Just haven't got round to doing the timed cuts, got the rim, the chain and bar but no time...story of my life:001_rolleyes:

 

Good to see some of the US guys showing an interest in what we are up to:thumbup:

 

Thanks. But, uh, I'm currently in Ireland ;) Though I AM looking at some forestry work happening in England. We'll see how that pans out.

 

BTW, here's a pic of the jug on that 444SE that is running the 3/8 chain:

Standard 444SE's are fully skirted.

I have considered 3/8 but would need to do timed cuts to see how 3/8 performs!

 

Opinions based on test cutting go both ways, and the exact models of chain does of course matter.

 

Personally I prefer .325 - as I find it nicer to use, and also a little faster in my wood.

To really know, you need to try the options yourself, including both 7- and 8-pin rims in .325. :wink:
