Proximity sensor

Not sure if it has moved and the gap between the sensor and the fly wheel has got smaller but the proximity sensor on are chipper usually when it gets hot starts giving out readings 1000rpm more than it should. This results in the infeed stopping.

The gap when I took it off tonight was about 1-2mm. I've increased this to a good 4mm and now when you rock the fly wheel the sensor light flashes. Where as today it seemed to be constantly on.

Is it possible with the small gap it was ok when cool but when hot it was getting more sensitive.
