I climb on a pinto/sling and cambium saver at the moment with a hitch climber, when retrieving a rope guide or pulley saver do you just pull it out of the tree or lower it? The reason i have been put off buying one is 1. pulling it out the tree is surely gonna nack it after a while 2. lowering seems a fanny on if your jumping from tree to tree on utilities.

Get some sort of pully at the top, I use a pully saver and find its amazing mixed with an s.j. Also some nice rope I use poison hivy and love it but I hear tachyon is better:)

I have tried all ropes and tachyon (the new england one) wins hands down. for retrieving a pulley saver use a double snapper, essential if you work over hard surfaces!
