entec 25hp kohler engine

Really what machine do you have.

 

I have the Entec Ch25PH 6" from 1998, great little machine, it cost about £900 for the engine including fitting and warrenty....i had a couple of head gaskets on my old engine, a bent valve stem and the old girl was getting a bit tired.....will try and get a photo of her

Yeah mate wud like to see it i got a 2001 24 hp timberwolf looking for more powerful engine i know kolar do a 27hp vtwin.

Will try and get a pic tomorrow, mine is a 25hp V-twin....I dont think the 27hp would work as from what i can remember it doesnt come in the correct shaft size and has a different air filter system that is much taller than mine, so it wouldnt have fitted under the fibre glass top

putting a bigger engine in will put more stress on the bearings. 900 quid sounds good. can anyone give me advise on tuning the carb?

the back end is the same as the 30dh so bearings no worries. I use a command 25hp petrol. Buy one using the serial numbers from the engine and the shaft is the same size. only the bolt holes need enlarging on the base and the fuel pump is moved from one side to the other. I just binned the fibreglass cowling and made up guarding instead. The key start, choke, throttle are all on the engine anyway so they where never changed back.
