New nptc units ?

Im doing my chainsaw units at college this year and have some of them. But I read on here they are changing all the units does this mean my chainsaw tickets that I have done and am doing won't be valid when I leave college?

nothing has changed yet , it is in the consultation stage at the moment

I sure hope not, just forked out enough money for my CS certs, maybe they'll be transferable.

No one can take away the training we have already had! The point of having tickets is to prove you have met an acceptable standard in an assessment which is a requirement of some insurance companies etc. but if any situation ever went to court, we have had training and have passed tickets! NPTC could never ever make our tickets void and make us do everything again.There would be mayhem! I'm sure it will all be transferable to the new system, if / when it happens. Shouldn't we all be having 5yr refreshers in every unit anyway - it'll probably all be sorted and transferred then, and our tickets should be valid until our 5 years pass!?!?! Does this sound right to everyone else?
