Anyone done this ? It's a double braid construction but the outer is so thick and the core so thin that I can't see how to get one to pass through the other. Perhaps should be using a different technique ?:confused1::confused1:

It's a 16 strand rope, the core is there to keep a round shape it's the cover that has the strength.

I think you may have to take out more cover strands for this rope, I've always found it difficult but more experienced splicers don't seem to have much problem.

 

(Not that I'm a splicer)
