Are all the belts ie v belt from clutch to drive wheel plus the poly drive in good nick and tight ( but not too tight!) does the wheel turn freely when machine is turned off?

Posted

yes all belts are like new and tight and wheel spins freely, its doing my head in as ive got over 400 stumps to do ,the machine is 2006 with 500 hrs and its really tidy

cheers

Sorry mate, I've had one for a decade now and never had this issue, does the wheel falter and stop?, is there a squeaking/squealing noise? Try to explain exactly how this weakness manifests itself.

Posted

theres no sqeaking noises at all its as if there is not enough power i did a willow yesterday and it struggled with it ,but the engine seems fine

Posted

Well I'm stumped! Is the machine new to you? Willow can be a pig spongy and fibrous,

If the engine is running at the correct speed then the wheel should run at the correct speed.

Can't do any better, sorry!
