Petzl sequoia lower rings?

Does anyone have a difinative answer? Im going to have to start using a sequioa at work as im not allowed to use my own kit.... Are the lower rings rated for suspension like they are on the tree motion??

I checked it out in the booklet/manual that came with my sequioa and it states exactly as Dan Curtis has said.

 

I also use mine as lanyard points (like forward D's i guess).. was thinking that if used to lanyard (wire core or whatever) in on a spar when blowing out a suspect or large top this should leave me outside the crush zone if the worst was to happen? as the bridge of the harness closes the loop around the stem. any thoughts on this? have i got that right?
