i just got a nokia 6220 classic. it's a 5 mp with carl ziess optics. seems ok. it has the gps too and "geotags" your pictures. so you get a grid reference of where you take the photo. i thought that might be handy for work/risk assessments and such like.

Seems I might be going for a 6220 as it was either this or the Sony Ericsson C902 that were available as a free upgrade. The 905 is a bit thick and I like to have the 'phone on me at all times so if it fits in a pocket or tool holster it helps. I've read some reviews and the Nokia seems to come out more favourably altho less batt. life is a bummer. Have always had Nokias - I'm probably scared to rat to another brand! The GPS could be good too. Thanks.:001_smile:

Hi all...

Dont get the c902.... through personal experience, my phone...

1. it freezes all the time... and then turns itself off completly and you have to turn it back on.

2.The speaker that is used for the ringtones has gone bust twice, it has been sent off for repair twice to rectify the problem, but even so not ideal to not be able to hear your phone over the sound of chainsaws.

This is my personal opinion, when i was upgrading i looked at the 6220 and decided against it for battry life, but given the choice again i would definitly go for the 6220. Good point for the c902, the camera is quality, just the interface that lets it down. I can imagine the camera of the 6220 is of very similar quality to that of the c902.

Hope this helps

Seems I did the right thing; new 6220 landed by courier yesterday. Keypad a little glitchy but all else fine. Cheers all.
