Hi everybody,

new to this firewood business and have a few questions.

i would like to process about 25 tones of bought timber and my arb waste.

outside storage is no problem but limited shed/barn storage.

should i cut the arb waste into logs and stack in shed ,then cut the timber into billets and stack outside with tarp or ply on top?

would a little petrol splitter (7 ton handy etc) cope with splitting 1m lengths or will i need a bigger one?

if stored correctly will logs split now be ready for this winter? I live at the top of a hill so its always bloody windy.

hats of to you lot!! having done some simple sums, its not an easy way to make ends meet. still at least we are outside playing with wood and toys:thumbup:

thanks for your time.

Depends on timber stay away from oak. If we have a reasonable summer and you get it under cover in september I would think you will be fine. Log or billet it all now sooner the better.
