Hi

Just wondering what to charge as an hourly rate for tree consultation and tree surveying.

I'm Level 3 qualified.

I know my business costs but need to know what my skills are worth an hour

Thanks everyone

Consultancy is no different to contracting.

How long have you been consulting for, what are your past experiences etc etc. the consultants fees questions are just as in depth and varied as those of contracting or freelance climbing.

Work out your survival budget and then add on what ever you want, depending on whether you want the consulting job desperately for experience sake, or also consider what type of car you wish to drive, VW, mitsi, Ferrari, Maserati, and what cloth you want for your tweed jacket, and where your tweed jacket will be tailored.

Also as per contracting, depends on; location, client, task involved, duration of works, how many hours of work you will be at home, travel costs, site visits, any cad work that may be required.

The list as per contracting is endless, and many will give a variety of rates to charge. As is the case with contracting, these may often not be suitable to your particular circumstances. Your time is what you value it at, as to whether you get the job, that's up to what others value your expertise and time at.

Thanks

Well Barbour sports jackets are not cheap.

Thanks Ive only just started so I'm glad of the extra work.

I know roughly how long it takes for 1 tree up to 50 trees including the report. So I just need to decide what I want to take home at the end of the day. I suppose it comes down to what wins the work in the end like all arb work.
