Both work well.. a nice snapgate can be a blessing for saw.. as can carritool.. snapgate can fold flat out of the way but can be harder to find on the quick, carritool is always there but can get caught up in a thick connie.. swings and roundabouts I guess.. best thing about the motion is its totally customisable for each climbers wish and whim. I love it (not sure I say that enough )

If your gonna get a caritool get the small one unless you like clipping yourself to branches, just my thoughts ay
