Third tree of five that we are removing. Swept beech, lowered off adjacent tree.

Got the SRT gear out to get up this one. The customer wants the stumps left at 2m, so he can carve them. I will post vid when I have time.

I'd say tied into that stem you wouldnt have much of an option but to work underneath it.

 

dont want to be critical of someones work, just curious how others do it, i hate being underneath, especially on the d rings, sore on my hips, i would of went topside, but i reckon he is that side so he can throw the logs forward rather than over his shoulder. looks pretty wobbly. :001_smile:

Yeah mate no worries I aint too it just looked to me that to stand at a decent angle above the stem you would be too far away to make any cuts.

 

Maybe as you say the camera angle aint right.

not being critical mate, but dont you find it harder working under the limb rather on top, or is it a funnier angle than it looks

 

Have you tried spiking up a tree leaning away from you? :001_tongue:
