PETZL ZigZag's Purchased from Honey Brothers FULL Recall Procedure

Last night we received information from Petzl that a FULL RECALL has been issued for the Zigzag.

 

• This will be handled entirely by Lyon Equipment for all Zigzags in the UK and Ireland, Click Here to View the finer details of the recall and the plan from Petzl.

 

• All products sold by Honey Brothers outside the UK and Ireland will be refunded by the distributor in the local country where the Zigzag has been shipped to.

 

• The Recall notice contains contact details for Lyon Equipment, the UK and Ireland distributor and what actions you should take. Email [email protected] or telephone 015396 24040

 

• A mailing pack will be send out to ZigZag customers by Lyon Equipment containing a return form and a pre-paid return envelope so they can collect the Zigzag direct from you. Lyon Equipment will provide you the refund upon receipt of your ZigZag by cheque for the full retail amount.

 

• If you want to take the equipment pack offered from Petzl with the additional 30% of cost, this can ONLY be done by Lyon Equipment and is not available from Honey Brothers.

Just rang Lyon equipment and all the relevant info for retrieval of zz and info on credit or refund is in the pack.If people want it done quickly then i would advise ringing Lyon direct and providing postage details.

If you wish to take the 'Petzl equipment pack' rather than a refund...

 

After Lyon Equipment have received your ZIGZAG, with a copy of the receipt, they will process the order. You may choose Petzl products from the Petzl catalogue equivalent to the retail price of the ZIGZAG plus 30% (shipping included).

 

As we figure it from what they are saying, you can get £231.40 worth of Petzl gear in exchange for your ZigZag rather than a refund of £178 (inc VAT).
