Evening, looking at getting some work on MoD land/estates, I have been informed that this incurrs 10 million pounds worth of cover, is this true and if so does anybody know of a firm that will cover this and what are the premiums like? Cheers, Jan.

It doesnt incurr anything, but if they "require" you to have £10M worth of cover than thats fine, and not unusual.

Most tree companies have £5M cover I think, some as little as £1M but they all have whatever is required for the contracts they are getting (or trying to get).

What it will costs depends on what you are doing, and the value of the work etc. so you'll have to speak to some insurance companies, but yes that does sound about right for the MOD.
