what you need to do is make a frame up nice and light but secure then clad the frame in a light but robust material we used some spare roofing sheets made of galvanised steel light but tough enough for the job look ok painted up .

There is a place called nottingham body craft down in colwick just up from marsdons but I hope you have your wallet at the ready. It'll last a lifetime but so will the tears in your eyes.

 

Damn right.. gave my ex boss a quote of over 3 grand :(

 

In the end we gave a local welder the plans and he did it all inc ladder racks and side tool box for £1000

If your after a bigger chip box use a strong wire mesh and weld to your up rights and then use chicken wire mesh over the top of it to make sure the chip doesnt go through the holes its light and cheaper than buying loads of steels and sheets of metal
