Has anyone had belt problems with predator p38's??? I have to tighten the main cutting belts on mine every 5 to 6 hours up to 30 hours when the belts reach max travel and have to be replaced. Am sure am not the only one with this problem, does anyone have a solution??

Not familiar with your machine but in my experiance any belt that has to be adjusted that frequently is sub standard, in the past we have tried fitting cheaper belts with the same outcome. Sometimes only a Kevlar belt or good polychain belt will do.

Thats interesting to know other people have had a problem, predator having told me that others aren't having problems.

In my opinion the belts are simply not strong enough for a 38hp machine, a webbed belt with appropriate pulleys would be a good solution, however i cant convert the machine whilst still in warranty.

Sorry to hear that you've had problems.

We recommend that belts are tightened after the first hour as they do tend to stretch in that time. If the belts are left and not tightened in that time and allowed to slip then the belts and pulleys get polished. If this does happen then we suggest you try using a belt dressing. If you continue having problems please bring it in and we'll have a look at it for you.
