trouser alterations

being someone whose arse is closer to the ground than most l find it hard to get trousers the right length, (27") last time l bought trousers l altered them myself which took a while to hand sew and was a horrendous experience for me.

 

Anyone else have this problem and if so how do you deal with it?

 

I have tried putting myself on a rack and stretching, but that just pulled my feet off

My mother is a sewer by trade, old school style. She does mine, probably invalidates warranty. I'd rather be protected than not.

yep the warranty always causes me concern. The other thing is that with the new style trousers the knee pads end up as shin pads so l feel that l am not getting the full product.

 

Just bought a pair of Engelbert Strauss and need to take off 6" before l can use them

im the same only a 28 leg got a pair of Oregon trousers that just sit in the truck coz i got P off keep tripping on them so i don't use any even tough i should why ond they make them in all size legs
