air filter changing to newer style

just wondering if anyone has changed air filter setups on there older saws. eg 044,046,064 etc from the flat style to the newer hd?

 

i know you would need the back plate and the mount the filter sits on, filter and new cover....

 

just curious to know if anyone has done this?
