That be my conclusion Tony.

 

Use to think it was just an odd Gano, but height & flesh pretty much confirms it for me.

 

 

First three last year, the rest today.

 

 

 

Check out the regrowth off the butress.

Sent e-mail of pictures of the Birch one down to Heidi Goering at Kew today, will send down a sample next week.

 

She thought it was interesting and would consult with colleagues.

 

 

Doc Lonsdale said he & Schwarzy did some work around the possible two forms back in the naughties.

 

 

I'll get back to DL when I hear back from Kew.

So david, this Gano, suspect applanatum, however the defect in morphology i have seen in Australe too. What are your views on this odd little deformity and do you see it on the heath?
