So david, this Gano, suspect applanatum, however the defect in morphology i have seen in Australe too. What are your views on this odd little deformity and do you see it on the heath?

Yep, see that on the Heath, not sure what else to say really.

Fung just keeps on morphing in ways that aint "the norm".

Came across this today whilst out short listing a bunch of Monos for an upcoming invertebrate survey project.

Created this Beech mono about 5 years ago.

Here it is today, with a whole host of G. applanatum bracks right around the circumferance, but only one small rack of Ganoderma pfeifferi.

Yeah, suppose it aint so bad really :sneaky2::biggrin::blushing:

It's a lot about passion for looking around at whats about & how I can learn from it & how I can interact with it.

8 out of ten people doing my job probably wouldn't be bothered with more than half of the stuff I get up to.

But then I'm just potty.

We were processing up the fallen Oak from last week, today, saws buzzing away in harmony, timber getting shifted out of the way.

Used to be at my most happiest doing this type of work 10 years ago, but today I just felt sad.

Hopefully, once I've got this beast out from the 6 metal panels it's trashed, I can arrange for the trunk to be carved, as it's not far from a kiddies play area.

I guess its really only been 3 years maybe 4 that Ive gotten bored of the same old thing day in day out, a reduction here a dismantle there. Its only being able to go off to an ancient woodland to find amazing things thats keeping me stoked.
