FC research branch did work on commercial mushroom farming , prices methods etc.

It was pretty good , I think it may be on my pc somewhere, if I find it , I'll send it to you.

that would be great, i havent decided if i want to do the commerial thing yet, as i dont know where i will be in 3years time! but any info is definatly appreciated, it does seem like something i could set up now and reap the rewards in a few years time, even better if its just some pocket money cash from local pubs

right i have found a supplier who will do packs of 1200 plugs for £55! thinking about getting yorkshire oysters, chicken of the woods and shiitake, if anyone fancies taking a few plugs of me let me know, they need to go into fresh cut timber (within 7days of cutting) the oyster and shiitake are ok in smaller diameter stuff the chicken of the woods needs either a stump or large rings and will need to be done by May/June time

What type of wood do they recommend?

if you put them in in May/June, how long will it be untill you have some to harvest?
