Is it found on Ash too? Even a little bit? Found something very very similar today, checked it when I got back to my iPad it looks very like it, but is only listed as being on Oak.

 

Its more a case of finding the co existence of this yellow brain fungi with its host to get accurate Ident, as there is also a T. aurantia, they feed on the mycelium of certain fungi genus.

 

T. messenterica feeds on Peniophora (crust fungi) in particularly peniophora quercina, but also lycii etc.

 

whereas the T. aurantia feeds on sterums as does the T foliacea:thumbup1:
