Great stuff fella, pretty much the same as me although I've had 30,31 for years and passed my 38 a week ago, climbing is such a buzz, just make sure your methodical about what you do and don't loose track of where your at and you'll be fine. Keep it up fella and the best of luck to you.

I used to rock climb, but when I started arb climbing I just have it up bcos I enjoy working in trees so much!

Cheers Sam and albere! Since this vid I've started clipping main line into a spare snap-crab.

I would use my carry tool, but I normally have my daisy chained lanyard through it !

 

Just ordered 45m poison h-ivy and a hitch-climber! Can't wait

You might want to stay with the Pruss for now mate, as when u do ur course they will prob get u to climb on it and not a hitch climber. Don't run b4 u can walk. It's a dangerous game. Good luck

Good on ya for just having a go. Be careful though, and try to get your quals, won't hurt and may teach you a bit more to keep yourself safe.

When I see a dead birch, I suddendly think about bad things, but I'm sure that you have evaluated the stability of the plant. After said my first thought, the second one is: good work.

Was 100% dead it was as good as seasoned!

And to be fair, it could have been utilis.

Done a few jobs since, learning a bit at a time!

As for my quals, hoping to have a place on cs30/31 course at capel in mid jan!
