stihl 038 avs farmboss

Got given one of these by a customer today he said it wouldn't start so flushed the old petrol out put some fresh petrol in started first time but the choke lever has broke off where can i get a new one?

Amazing. My mate and I were given one (ooh er!!) which had exactly the same problem. We were told it hadn't run for years. Ten minutes we had it started. Bit of tuning and it seems as good as new plus not been heavily used so not a bad saw for nothing!!

I tried it straight away on some ash I had on the yard pulled through it well even with a blunt chain,new chain and bar me thinks

think you can get the bits off the bay

Control shaft # 1118-182-0900 .Choke shutter # 1119-121-2900 . You can probabley still get them through a Stihl dealer or just Google the part number because a lot of places have replacements .

Your friendly local Stihl dealer should be able to get them for you

Well quite frankly a lot of times you'll do better at a dealer than flea bay .I have no idea how flea bay UK is but often times on flea bay US the price will exceed a dealers than they tag you with shipping costs above that .
