Bit chilly in the house tonight

I guess it's just the style of house. My next house will have a wood burner. Not viable to do in this one, gas bills £36/month and it's a smoke control zone and no chimney so would be far to expensive :-(

put one in for brother in law used a stainless twi wall flue on outside he now got 2 we installed one in other room and opened old chimney.

twin wal flue was easy otion in first room, went through gable end just below ceiling

Gable End is Boundary so I can't go out that way, Living Room where you would want it is at the front of the house, so would look wrong going out the front. If I was absolutely desperate then I'd find somewhere but as I said the payback would be 5 years I reckon, and I don't intend to be there that long.......

It so hot in ours with the wood burner going I sit around in a thong, much to the disgust of the kids.

internet says -1 at nearest weather station about 5 miles as crow flies thermometer at top ofstairs says 21. Property was buit pre 1750 thats as far as we can trace it on deeds as a change of hands. Got gas central heating but don't use it now we put woodburner in.

we have a wood fired rayburn which has just gone caput in my house so we have been reliant on electric heaters and the wood stove we have in the lounge which is often too hot

HI MATE rayburns are very good we had one for years :thumbup1:the food was good on it too :thumbup1:jon

Actually Rayburn have been great about it and have replaced parts and labour all free of charge even though our unit was out of warranty, only just though!
