What exactly do you use it for?

Is it well worth it or just a luxury?

It was stolen from my truck last night..

I did use it for tree heights and plotting trees. It did work well but deffo a luxury. I am not sure I will replace it as it was very expensive, I don't think one without the camera would be worth it. I generally used it to get the height of a few trees during a day but I tend to estimate most heights as even with the D8 your guestimating the top of the tree.

Some of these phone apps look pretty good so might just try them..

That's an arse Ben! For those of the iPhone Apple persuasion there is an app called 'TheodolitePro' which has worked well for me this week.

A D8 came up for sale in my village 2 days after mine was robbed. What a coincidence... Anyway the little numpty must have thought christmas had come early when someone was going to bring him £300 cash. I guess he got a shock when it turned out it was the old bill! He was knicked and I'm getting my D8 back! I would have loved to have seen his stupid little face!
