Colour of the smoke ?

Hi Twistedhicap, tried to post eariler but it got lost in the ether when our network packed up.:confused1: the smokes a kinda grey colour and smells of unburnt fuel, only happens first thing in the am, or if you realy floor it down the bypass. going to do an oil change this weekend - going to try fully synthetic to see if that has any effect??

regards

hmmm unburnt fuel could be a dribbly injector black smoke is usually over fueling blue is oil and steam is head gasket lol !

may pay to have it looked at at least plugeged in see if anything comes up re codes and look at the fueling on live data ?

Sounds intresting, didnt realise you could get data as precise as that. Being totally niave is it something that a ford dealer would have to do ? ive read many horror stories of turbos and erg valves being incorrectly diagnosed as the primary cause of smoking and then being ripped out by cold blooded ford engineers p.s hope youre not one :sneaky2:

regards

Dave
