scrap woodburning stove wanted

We had a go but left it full of water for a month. When we emptied it ready to cut it still reeked of gas so we filled it up with water again and cut it with the water in. More likely to be electrocuted than blown up but at least it wouldn't damage the shed.

 

the Mercaptans that are used as stench agents for the gas linger around for a long while i beleive they can be absorbed into the outer layer of the steel and there is also a certian amonut of oil preciptiated out of the LPG this is why you may have still smelt it strongly . still safer than sorry though :)
