Find a good horticultural /chainsaw dealer,with a franchise on your target brand,local to you,go talk to them & see if they have been around for a while.

I would go with a well known make of saw,in the pro range,& one that has seen production for as long as possible,ie the husky 346xp & stihl 260,(think the 260 is long gone now),or an echo/makita.

Some of the brand new models have reported issues,& it takes time for them to get ironed out.

Make a choice that suits your potential needs,will not prove too heavy & yet will cope with your target work,then ask on here for feedback before you buy.

The ms260 is now the ms261. I've heard some things are going wrong with it. I would look for a 260, there should be a few about here and there.
