Teufelberg ce lanyard as 2nd climbing system?

Ah, got you.... What length lanyard do you have, a 10m? They're lovely looking things, I do fancy the 7m version.... maybe on the christmas list...! :biggrin:

 

And I'm with Adam on the CE bit, I thought it was just the components and the splices which were certified, so long as you use the same cord in a closed hitch it would still be certified, no matter what knot you used? :001_huh:

 

And yes, I love my hi-vis.. a mate of mine is a lighting director and he did dancing on ice, he pinched a hi vis for me, he knew I'd love the irony as I wobble round up a tree.... I look more like bambi on ice most of the time... :blushing::001_tongue:

 

I've got the 7 meter one on the basis that its for work position in medium - Large crowns so no point in it being shorter and the 10 meter i think is too long for the domestic trees i do and would get caught up in everything below me . A good tip i got shown for this as its very annoying getting it snagged all the time is to daisy chain it in sections and clip it onto a tool crab at your side and just pull out lengths as you need it :001_smile:

That hi-vis is class !! :biggrin:
