C stands for Catalytic convertor. Buy the saw but replace the cat with dual port 460 exhaust.

Well, joy of joys, the 460 arrived today.... shipped with fuel in....

Still, at least it meant I could fire it straight up...

 

Seems to start & run nicely but not had it out in anger yet.

 

Massive KAT on the muffler is crying out to be replaced.... suggestions for replacement & improvement... can Spud help...?

 

First impressions are that it's a nice light and well balanced saw... chuffed....

Glad you like it, you will never regret getting the 460 tree killer o'matic! a standard muffler has always been fine for me, you could always port it after, you will notice the difference then, feel the benefit an my old grandad would say about wearing a coat indoors!

Yep that's the way to do it. I brought a new 460 gave it a year to run in then fitted a twin port muffler, removed the restrictors to retune using a 'tiny tacho' to 4-stroke a 13.5k, and the power - well lest say my other saws are like 'push and go toys' compared to the 460. but it does use more fuel.
