At a guess the Echo power pruner, with an extension on the extension is probably the longest, just don't use the hedge trimmer attachment or you will snap the drive shaft. Can't remember the length off the top of my head but it's probably longer than a mere mortal such as yourself could handle :001_tt2::001_smile:

Rob the Echo mentioned by TB1 is the tallest or longest with extensions on the market. I have used the model described with a 4'extension in conjunction with the ELH and have found it to work, however the shear weight and tork is a challenge. Andy the hedger attachment for the Echo model was discontinued here Stateside just over Two years ago.

Stihl is the only manufacturer ATM with a nearly comparable reach, that you can attach a hedger attachment to. Good hunting.

This is a job we've got two weeks on. Loads of trees to lift up to 6m. We were thinking a mewp. But if we could find a pole pruner to do as high then it would pay for itself. There's so many that you could climb ones where they are close and swing between them. We are still weighing up how to do this. Climbing may work out feasible.

Rob, weighing it all up, what a new longer reach pole pruner will cost will take a huge chunk of profit off the job, are you likely to need such a long pruner in future, where it will spread the cost effectively? You already have the climbers, or a Mewp hired in is an affordable cost. I shouldn't be buying a machine that won't be getting much future useage.
