We are lucky we are good mechanics because if a saw was put together totally wrong (like if the sparkplug somehow ended up near the fuel storage area) it would make for a very very bad thing to pull the starter on.

 

Should you find you put a saw together in such a dangerous matter accidently, you should imediately stop working on it and leave it on the bench until you have worked out how to fix that potentially dangerous situation.

 

Maybe take teh starter handle off, just to be extra safe
