My wife had similar symptoms, once, and they were virtually gone after performing the "Epley Manouver" a couple of times, see Epley maneuver - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It is a fairly complex series of specific movements of the head.

I have no idea whether they will help you, but I guess it can't hurt, and best of all, it's free!

You can also find the maneuver on youtube...

I know it looks silly, but try it, unless your GP has advised against it, for some reason.

Cheers Morten, I'll do that. Anything's worth a try so I'll let you know how it goes. I'll do it in the morning when I get up as that's when it's at it's worst.

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
