honey fungus?

found these mushrooms at the base of a semi mature sycamore. tree is roadside with a slight lean towards it. prob 60 feet high with a diameter of 3 feet at the butt. found two lots of mushrooms. one group spread over a metre and one tight group at the very base. looks like honey fungus to me, any other ideas??

its also a lot bigger than coprinus domesticus or micaceus of which this is on or tuther.

the tree has some decay within the base, which was probably an armillaria attack but if the tree is in good health, which will be visible in the crown, then it has some years in it yet
