could use wood sides like council do up my way ? bit ruff but cheap option.. or steel frame with base bolted to alloy bed

im currently looking into new van however already got DC tranny with steel bed and steel chip box - very heavy - got uprated springs to aid in occasional overweight load.

i like the DC but i just chuck tools in the back with no organisation so i think if it goes to a single cab with rear storage il be much more tidy - plus can carry much more Kg's

looking into a single chassis cab then get a alloy chip box n storage made. 6k cab / 2.5k chipbox n decals.

We had a 07 crew cab with a steel frame and plyboard front and sides and we were still very near to the 3ton mark with men and kit on, so go for the lightest option.

That's right. A 3.5t tipper is the most useless Arbtuck in the world!
