Well it was either that or "my dopey mate wouldn't quit banging on about how much better the hc is all because the pinto guides the rope against the biner in certain circumstances.....so I put a spacer in there to shut him up" :001_tt2:

personally i reckon it would be sweet as to use as a hitch. just like any other check wear and tear. simple common sense, simple common sense and it will be fine. i tried it for a while but didnt get on with it. to bitey for me, but works well.

Yea it's a Timmy special . I recon it's just common sense but I was asked not to use it at work. More because of the heat resistance of the rope rather than the setup of the knot

I normally girth hitch the tail of the end of the prussik instead having a spacer there. I've tried 8,7 and 6 mm cord. I will post some pics in the next little bit. Like Matty and Dan said use common sense, but its worth having a bash on for sure loads of fun if ya wanna let it run!! The way I look at the hitch with it doubled up, if there is twice as much its a good thing. 6x2 more cord than 10mm yeah?!:001_smile:
