After some advice

Quick background of who i am, my name is Ian and i run a small gardening business around nuneaton in warwickshire, i want to move things along and become a tree surgeon, here are my thoughts so far;

Im going to contact a local tree company and ask if i could maybe shadow/help/work (for free) to gain some knowledge of this side of the agricutrual world

From there i plan on doing this for upto 12 months while i find out everything i need to do to train/qualify and get a partner to help work with me full time

Now i understand there are certain laws/licences/quals you need to work as a tree surgeon, but does that stop me working on a site with a company? What do i need to get on site? What specific ppe do i need ( i have boots/work trousers/ear defenders/etc for gardening)

Or am i only going to be good for making teas?

Any help or advice or got anythibg to put across would be brilliant

Thanks

I will be sticking with gardening, i would like to expand my skills, and to be honest im not about doing the easy job because its the easy way out, i want to make the most of myself and im not afraid of a bit of hard work

When i say im a gardener i use the word losely as i dont wish to tie myself down to one title, i actually take on landscaping work too as i used to be a builder for a small business, but sadly went under
