it is very sad indeed. i think more time should be spent practising rescues where the victim has to be lifted ie out of a crotch. 90% of the guys at work had no idea how to do this so this is what we are concentrating on in the timebeing.

heres a pic of the setup. its really easy to setup and use. i actually think its maybe the best setup to use when doing an aerial rescue. if there rope is ok you can still clip them to the end as another point of atttachment. if you do descend with two people on your line its important to add friction (such as a fig8) when descending.
