I've just been browsing top handle saws as I may have to get one at some point, and noticed the Solo offering is listed as 40cc/1.9kW/2.3hp

 

For comparison the Stihl MS201 is listed as 35cc/1.8kW/2.4hp, so the Solo looks pretty similar in terms of performance. Weight is also the same, but the Solo is nearly £300 cheaper :confused1:

 

Anyone ever used one of these or got any comments? I realize spare parts might be more of an issue, but apart from that?

I use one now and again , much better when ported . Think there was one in the classifieds for sale . I got mine from the same place .When the ignition module broke 6 months later they sent me a new one for free .

i use to own one i liked that saw good never let me down

just sold it as i had to many toppers witch didnt really get used enough to have them sitting around
