Hi all,

I'm going self employed in Essex and would welcome your advice. I'm going to be short of storage for logs and was after any help in finding the best place to look for land to rent to stack and store for seasoning and logging. Also does anyone know anywhere local to get rid of waste/chippings.

Cheers, Rob :thumbup:

Thurrock way is RIO (recycling in orsett) which is £33 a ton for green waste. Its a bit too far out for you to be worth your while but if you every end up this side of things they are their. Accounts with them are free, cant do any harm.

Hi Rob;

You have got Kartaways on the Essex regiment way not sure on their prices after they had that fire they seem to have got expensive.

Theres also a good clean site on the Tiptree road, i think its called Applewood or something similar was about £25.00 tonne.

Get talking to local land owners, farmers etc they normally take chip for free :thumbup1:
