we do alot of mowing, both pedestrian and tractor.

we go out at £17.00/hr/man for pedestrian mowing/flailing that includes fuel/waste etc

the tractor goes out at £30.00/hr and the tractor jobs are mown fortnightly and we strim/edge these once a month unless customer dictates otherwise.

we have a kubota st30 with a teagle 6ft finishing rotary mower.

hope these figures are of use and maybe you can use them to hit a midpoint price for their ride on/you combination.

I would say £17 per hour per man is far too cheap. If you are doing a quality job plus supplying fuel as I do, or believe i do, I think £25 is a fair price. If they turn their nose up at it I would just say perhaps you don't need the work!! If you really need the work do it for next to nothing if not push your luck!!

round us £17.00/hr is about going rate for grass cutting and strimming, we have muppets under cutting us @ £15.00/hr with a b&Q value mower.lol

we get a good return @ that price, plus all our work is within 5miles of yard so our fuel outlay is minimal, plus honda are very economical mowers and mowing all day we probs fill them up once or twice which is mere ££ but you could push for more £££/hr if you wanted to i suppose
