Hi mate this is my splitter, highly modified, longer depth guage, removed the stupid 2 handed opertaion do daa, , and a box section log holder on the side ( primed Grey) 4 way wedge etc .. 24tonne pressure, road towable, tow mine at 50mph no probs, charge £15.00 per hour atm for me and machine, but putting it up soon, hope this helps.

If you are using a tractor and splitter you have to be charging at least £25.00 to make it worth while.

 

I charge £30.00 an hour (min of 3hrs work) for me, tractor, splitter and fuel. Not worth messing around for for any less in my opinion.

I don't charge by the hour I charge by the cube split. You can work your a** off and still only get your hourly rate. Also if you have a break down questions get asked.

 

I charge $20 a cube (£10) plus GST if the woods already cut up. We do around

30 cube a day. Looking at buying a processor to get it upto 50- 60.

All excellent advice! i was just thinking about the hourly rate over how much i would split, as i cant help but always work as hard as i can and be efficient, which would mean finishing quite fast and little pay
