Fungi ID

Hi Can some one ID these fungi. They were found in a old pruning wound on a Norway Maple. The photo s are not great will keep trying to get better. Have looked in my books and the fungi directory but can t see anything like these two.

Try a taste test, if it is it will taste sour.

Host, location & wound seem to suggest it should be Polyporus squamosus, but the pores look wrong to me (for Ps) in these shots.

I think your right Bjerkandera adusta was on my short list but wasn't too sure so thats why i thought of posting it on here for a proper diagnosis

I think theres two differnet fungi at play here the larger of the two was from inside the wound and the smaller from outside.
