If thats how you measure it you would be paying £80 a tonne. As you measure the stack you need to remove 45% for air space if its nice cordwood, more if its bent crappy stuff.

Work out an average number of logs per cube, then count up logs per stack. Saves an alot of guessing.

(pie*diameter squared/40000*lenght)
