Sycamore Reduction

I've got a sycamore to reduce which is open aspect. The customer's concern is it shading the garden and wants it to look like a lollipop. As you'd expect the lower branches have reached out miles without any growth points. It's been hacked about buy the builders as its next to a new house. My first impression is to framework it to create a nice manageable shape for future reductions. I've done it on Planes and Limes but is it ok to framework pollard a syci at this time of year?
