Dead Euc dismantle coming up - advice?

Dependent on circumstances and species dead euc can be very strong and dry, over here you have to sharpen your saws alot as its so tough it blunts the saws quickly. Check out Joe harris' video of him climbing in the "skeleton forest" see how strong dead euc can be.

obviously do what you believe is safe not generalizing that all dead eucs are safe by any means(arse covering complete)

Did this this afternoon. After getting up through the bloody conny which was growing next to it, it was a doddle. Didn't have to rig any of it, all cut and chuck, then felled the last 20 foot pole.

 

No interesting photos I'm afraid.

Did try a 2+1 VT on this tree as it was so dinky, I've never experienced self tending on a Hitch Climber before, really enjoyed it....! Bit frisky at times but something of a revelation...

I'm enjoying a good run with my vt at the mo! 3+3 and its self tending after 6ft if i feed it a lil after 10ft its gliding and still grabs the second i sit back.
